How Can i Lay Someone Out in Football?

Question Details:  I need to impress my coach to get the starting linebacker position. I am in 8th gade and I am very large and strong for my age. How can I use that to lay someone out?
My Question is : How Can i Lay Someone Out in Football?

Ans 1:

“1. Shoot your strong side foot and drive your head into his hip. Don’t look to the ground.

2. Without moving your feet, shoot your arms behind him and grab his jersey with both hands.

3. Square up.

4. Drive into him.”

1) Never use your head to drive into someone’s hip. (My friend had gotten a concussion just recently from a helmet to helmet accident. 🙁 )

2) Don’t grab someone’s jersey, you’ll get called out for holding.

IF HE’S COMING TOWARDS YOU.

Lower your frame, your shoulders should meet with his pelvic bone. Meantime, lower your arms and grab behind his knees and pull and push forward with your legs. This should make him fall backwards from the effect of his knees being forced to collapse.

(Trust me, at only 5’61/2 @ 140 pounds I’ve manadged to lay out all my guy friends in football who are around 5’8-6’0 who are around 170-205 pounds.)

IF THEY MANAGE TO GET PAST YOU.

Basically the same except for the fact of pulling the back of their knees you pull at the front of their thighs or shins, if you get the at the knee cap, they’ll probably get injured.. maybe next time they should let you get them instead of running past you.

This is an example of form tackling. Your coach will notice. Trust me.

Ans 3:

Well if your Strong and Big, why wouldn’t you be starting ahah,

but just use the swim move to get rid of blockers, then stay low and drive your feet on the running back
